Small Swords & Rapiers
Smallswords and rapiers became popular after the advent of firearms made armor essentially passe. They were mostly used as dress weapons, and the rapier in particular has been made famous by the Three Musketeers... note, however, that they are not called the Three Rapierateers, which is indicative of ascendance of gunpowder.
